Academic Programme

The Cambridge School Indirapuram believes that a progressive curriculum is an integral component of a good educational institution. Such a curriculum aims to develop in children the ability to challenge concepts and not merely accept them. The curricular programme is strongly supported by a co-curricular programme which is an integral part of school life.

In order to gain fruitfully from the curriculum regularity in attendance and work is important.

Pre Primary Section (Nursery & Prep)

The Pre Primary Section (Nursery and Prep) plays an important role as these are the first steps into school life.  Our focus at this stage is to ignite the interest to explore.  It is this curiosity to learn that paves the path for the future. Children are naturally inclined to learn and explore. Such an inherent skill is of paramount importance and is honed by our teachers in order to bring out the best in children.

Assessment in these classes is a continuous process carefully monitored by teachers on a day-today basis.  There is no formal assessment at this stage. A report card is given twice a year and we encourage parents to share their concerns with teachers during Parent Teacher Meetings.

Primary I - V

The Primary School educational programme endeavours to build a strong foundation in basic concepts. Once the basic concepts are clear the path to application has been paved. The future belongs to those who do think and look at things differently. The ability to memorize facts and figures beyond a certain degree is no longer a virtue in the future world.

There is no formal examination for students of classes I to V. Evaluation is on the basis of continuous and comprehensive assessment wherein, students are assessed regularly during or on the completion of a unit  or lesson. Such an evaluation endeavours to provide qualitative learning through constant feedback to students. A report card is given twice a year.
